This is the companion site to the Vintage Stars YouTube channel (@VintageStars-h1l). Every collection the channel has published is listed here with a written piece to read alongside it, and the video itself plays from YouTube.

How the articles were written

Each piece is original editorial writing about the subject of its video - the era, the format, the industry context. They deliberately do not make biographical claims about individual people; the specific names, photographs and details all live in the video itself, which is embedded at the top of every story page.

Videos and images

Every video on this site is played through YouTube's own embedded player, and the thumbnails and frames come from those same videos. Nothing is re-hosted or re-uploaded - watching here counts as a view on the channel, exactly as it would on YouTube.

Corrections

Facts on the Golden Era Files pages are checked against public sources before publication. If you spot something wrong, say so on the relevant video and it will be fixed.
